„Nine Days in August“ was written in one day and shot in four days with a two-people-crew plus four actors, in a fast rush. We started film school as amateurs and unfortunately forgot this wonderful way of making films during our studies. This film is an attempt to get back to our raw, intuitive voice. It was very important to us to have the smallest possible team. We adapted our shooting times to the external circumstances, which enabled us to place the fictional characters in documentary settings. We opened up the opportunities for coincidence and just had to wait to capture magical cinematic moments.
